We are smitten with her and so is Charlie, our terrier mix. Charlie, by the way, is a rescue dog from the animal shelter, having come to them when his owner died. We were lucky to get him when we did as he really helped to comfort us when Callie, our golden retriever, passed away. Then Lilly came into our lives. I had not intended to get a puppy because puppies are a lot of work, as you know. But when I saw her, I couldn't resist bringing her home and she has been a real joy. Isn't she a cutie? We are so proud and happy for her! Congratulations, Sally! Sally's quilt has also been accepted in the Paduka Quilt Show and she has been notified that she is a semi-finalist. If she wins and accepts the award, Little Brown Bird will become a part of the Paduka Quilt Museum. Her stunning quilt, Brown Bird's Lullaby, also won the Mayor's Award and took 1st place in its category. Sally's skill at both piecing and quilting is evident (the quilt was completed with a combination of both hand and machine quilting) and received praise from many of the show's attendees as well as the judges.
